Suspects Arrested for Burglary When Caught Exiting Abandoned City Building
DATE/TIME: Monday, September 26, 2022, at 5:55 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 459C: COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
LOCATION: 17500 Block of Montezuma Street, Adelanto
VICTIM: City of Adelanto
SUSPECT: Francisco Negrete, 28 years-old, resident of Adelanto
Juan Francisco, 30 years-old, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Monday, September 26, 2022, at 5:55 p.m., deputies responded to a commercial building owned by City of Adelanto, in the 17500 block of Montezuma Street in Adelanto. Francisco Negrete and Juan Francisco were contacted by a City of Adelanto Code Enforcement Officer as they exited the abandoned building. The suspects had forced entry into the building through a window.
Negrete and Francisco were arrested for commercial burglary and booked at High Desert Detention Center. Negrete was also in possession of a dagger concealed under his shirt, in his waistband. Both suspects are currently being held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail each.
