Traffic Alert – Thursday Morning Parade
On Thursday a parade will be held to mark 95 years of service to the greater South Brunswick community by Herman Services. The parade will have the original truck used by the company “Old Timer” along with fire trucks from Monmouth Junction, Kendall Park, and Kingston Fire Departments. In addition, the parade will have ambulances from South Brunswick EMS, Monmouth Junction First Aid, and Kendall Park First Aid Squads. South Brunswick Police motorcycle officers will lead the parade. This procession of vehicles will travel down Georges Road starting at around 9:30 am and stop at the schools along the route – Indian Fields Elementary at Dayton, Crossroads Middle School, and Brooks Crossing Elementary at Deans. The company is sponsoring a contest for students to create a drawing of the Old Timer. The drawings will be presented to the company over the next three weeks and a grand prize winner will be chosen. Herman Leasing will provide the winning students with a financial award in October.
