Fair Lawn Emergency Management is monitoring remnants of Tropical Storm Ian. Rain will begin late tonight, September 30th and continue on and off through Monday, October 3rd. Average rainfall totals are expected to be 1 to 2 inches for the entire event. The heaviest rain bands can cause flash flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas.
Winds out of the Northeast will become steadier as the day goes on. These winds will persist for several days at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Please continue to monitor local weather conditions, local streams, flood prone areas, and be alert for any forecast changes.
