Identity of motorcycle crash victim released.
The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as Todd A. Hitsman. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
On Thursday, September 29th, 2022, at 4:57p.m., officers of the Sheboygan Police Department were sent to the area of S. 14th St. and Kentucky Ave. for a report of a motorcycle crash. A 40-year-old Sheboygan Falls man was operating his motorcycle north on S. Business Dr./S. 14th St. when he approached vehicles that were slowing and stopping in the roadway for the traffic light at S. 14th St and Indiana Ave. He was unable to negotiate the traffic and crashed into the back of one of the vehicles. Sheboygan Fire Department Paramedics, Sheboygan Police Officers, and a citizen, conducted life-saving measures. He was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital where he later died of his injuries.
This crash remains under investigation. We do not believe any other vehicles or people were involved in this crash. We are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the crash to call the Sheboygan Police Department at 920-459-3333.
