On October 1, 2022, the annual Mermaid Triathlon and Duathlon will be held. There will be multiple races co-occurring. In addition, an Olympic Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, and Beach Dash will take place during the event. The Race is expected to run from 0730 hours to 1200 hours. Road Closure for Mermaid 1) Opal Cliff Drive/Cliff Drive – Participants get priority, vehicles secondary. 2) Wharf Road/Cliff Drive - Participants get priority, vehicles secondary. 3) Stockton Avenue to Wharf Road Closed 4) Upper Pacific Cove Parking lot Closed 5) Monterey Avenue/Bay Avenue - Road Closed 6) Park Avenue/Monterey Avenue - Road Closed 7) Escalona Drive/Monterey Avenue/ - Road Closed, Left Turn Only. 8) Fanmar Way/Monterey Avenue - Right Turn Only 9) Park Avenue/McGregor Drive - Road Closed 10) Park Avenue/McCormick Street - Road Closed 11) Park Avenue/Cabrillo Street - Road Closed 12) Park Avenue/Wesley Street - Road Closed 13) Park Avenue/Coronado Street - Road Closed Barricade Reminder to Depot Hill Residents from 0700- Noon, entrance and exit to/from Depot Hill will only be through the village. Park Avenue at Monterey is closed to traffic.
