Weather Update: 40 MPH winds predicted; $5 parking ends at 5 p.m. tonight
Rain is predicted to continue on and off until Sunday evening and heavy wind gusts of up to 40 MPH are possible throughout the weekend.
The Office of Emergency Management reminds residents to secure all loose objects outside or bring them inside, especially from balconies.
Outdoor tents should be taken down depending on the wind load.
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines, resulting in power outages.

Avoid flood-prone areas
The Office of Emergency Management has deployed barricades near flood-prone intersections. Temporary No Parking signs have been posted in flood-prone areas. These signs are informational, and vehicles will not be towed.
Please report flooded intersections and clogged drain inlets by calling the NHSA Hotline at (866) 689-3970.
Garage parking reminder
As a reminder, discounted $5 parking at Garage B (28 2nd Street,) Garage D (215 Hudson Street,) and the Midtown Garage (371 4th Street) ends tonight, Oct. 1, at 5 p.m.

Arts and Music Festival Cancelled; concerts moved
The Hoboken Arts and Music Festival has been cancelled due to predicted wind gusts of up to 40 MPH.
The City has relocated two of the free musical performances to the auditorium at Hoboken High School at 800 Clinton Street.
Freedy Johnston will perform from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Alejandro Escovedo and the Rant Band will perform from 4:30 p.m. 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m.
