1. Resisting Arrest (1201) 300 Block of East Oak Street, Civic District
Officers responded to the area on a trespassing complaint. While the officers were investigating the complaint, the suspect came out of the doorway holding weapons in both hands. Officers ordered the suspect to drop the weapons but he refused and walked toward the officers. One officer deployed her taser and the suspect was taken into custody. Officers later determined the suspect had started a fire using lighter fluid inside a building. ARRESTED: Miguel Martinez, 38, for brandishing, trespassing, resisting arrest, and arson.

2. Battery on an Officer (1211) 400 Block of East Martin Luther King Boulevard, Seaport District
The female adult victim was working inside a business when the suspect threw rocks at the windows, causing minor damage. The suspect also threw alcohol and a metal sign at the victim. When officers arrived and attempted to take the suspect into custody, he kicked one of the officers. The suspect continued to resist as he was placed in the patrol vehicle and assaulted the officer again while he was being processed at the police department. ARRESTED: Mathew Molina, 35, for assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, and vandalism.
