INCIDENT: PC 187 - Murder
LOCATION: 31800 Block of Bumpkin Road, Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT(S): Alberto Gallegos, 48-years-old, Resident of Lucerne Valley
VICTIM(S): Adult Male, Pending Next of Kin Notification
SUMMARY:
On Friday, September 30, 2022, at 8:43 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a residence in the 31800 block of Bumpkin Road. When deputies arrived, they found a male subject who had been shot. Medical aid also responded and ultimately pronounced the victim deceased.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Alberto Gallegos.
On Saturday, October 1, 2022, at about 6:00 p.m., Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division (SWAT) located and detained Gallegos during a traffic stop. Gallegos was arrested and booked in at the Central Detention Center for murder. He remains in custody without bail.
