Police Seek Help Identifying Shooting Suspects
Newark Public Safety Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the three below-pictured suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
At approximately 12:10 a.m., Police responded to Elliott Street near Summer Avenue on a call of shots fired. Responding officers located a victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury at Elliott Street. The victim was transported to University Hospital.
The officers received reports of another victim arriving at University Hospital in a private vehicle. This victim also suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot injury. Police also recovered a handgun in the 600 block of Summer Avenue.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information regarding the identity of either of these suspects to call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
