REMINDER: Propelify Innovation Festival is Thursday
As a reminder, the Propelify Innovation Festival will be on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Maxwell Place Park.
Hoboken has hosted Propelify since 2016. The festival focuses on advancing entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology with tech talks, exhibitors, startups, investors, music, food, drinks, and more.
The festival will include, over 70 speakers across 2 stages, investor & founder fundraising meetings, innovation demos & exhibitor booths, $100K of startup challenge prizes, startup career development opportunities, Meta Innovation Lounge, complimentary headshots, evening happy hour, fireworks, food, drinks, music, and more.
The fireworks display is scheduled to take place between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate Italian American Heritage Month this Friday
The City will host a flag raising on Friday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. at City Hall in honor of Italian American Heritage Month. All residents are invited to attend and celebrate the contributions of Italian Americans throughout the community and across the country.
Join the Hoboken Community Emergency Response Team!
The Hoboken Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will hold annual basic training this Saturday and Sunday and on Oct. 15 and Oct. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center at 124 Grand St.
Training is free and open to any Hoboken resident 18 years old or older.
Interested residents must complete all four training sessions to become a full Hoboken CERT member but makeup class will be made available in the near future if for those with a scheduling conflict.

In addition to the in-person training, Hoboken CERT requires the completion of 4 FEMA Incident Command courses online.
This training is free with the FEMA.Gov Independent Study Online Program.
