1. Injury Collision (0726) 1800 Block of South El Dorado Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the area on a report of a person down in the roadway. Officers located a male, 40, who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Traffic investigators responded to continue the investigation.
 
2. Person Shot (1107) 2900 Block of East Marsh Street, Park District
The male victim, 57, was in the area when he became involved in a confrontation with the suspect. The suspect shot the victim and fled on foot from the area. Responding officers located the suspect nearby and attempted to take him into custody. The suspect ran from officers but was caught after a foot pursuit. A loaded gun was recovered. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. ARRESTED: 17-year-old male for attempted murder, resisting arrest, and weapons charges.
