| Narrative: |
Two subjects were beaten and treated at hospital for injuries sustained in the attack.
On 10/02/22, at approximately 2:20 am, deputies from the Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to a local hospital regarding two subjects who had been attacked and beaten with a blunt object and were receiving medical attention for injuries sustained during the assault. During the patrol deputies’ investigation, one of the victims identified the suspect as her ex-husband, Aroldo Facundo Najera Perez.
On 10/04/22, at approximately 9:25 am, East County Major Crimes detectives located Najera Perez in the Newbury Park area and took him into custody. Najera Perez was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on one count of 273.5(a) PC – Domestic Violence and two counts of 245(a)(1) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Perez’s bail was set at $120,000 and his court date was set for 10/06/22 at 1:30 pm in courtroom #13.
