On Saturday, October 8, from approximately 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Under the Oaks Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K races will take place on Jekyll Island.
The race will not close any roads, but during the race, runners will be sharing the multi-use paths and portions of the roadways along the following roads:
- S. Riverview Dr. between Harbor Rd and St Andrews Cir
- Shell Rd
- Stable Rd between Shell Rd and N. Riverview Dr
- Harbor Rd
- Runners will cross S. Beachview Dr. on the bike path north of the Days Inn
- Access to the Jekyll Island boat ramp will be open but you may experience slight delays to allow runners to pass
Motorists may experience rolling traffic delays around the island. Bicyclists and pedestrians should use caution when sharing the paths with race participants and may also experience momentary delays.
