On Thursday, October 6, 2022 Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station received a call for service indicating a female was observed stuck in a clothing donation box on the 24800 block of Orchard Village Road in Newhall. Los Angeles County Fire Department and SCV Deputies responded and observed the lower half of the female's body exposed outside an opening of the donation box. LA County Fire Department assessed the female and pronounced her deceased.
The female is described as a female adult, approximately 60 years old, believed to be a local resident of the Santa Clarita Valley. Her identity has not yet be released pending a coroner's report and notification of next of kin.
At this time, there are no signs of foul play or suspects outstanding. The incident is being handled as an accidental death investigation.
