1. Attempted Carjacking Arrest (1849) 200 Block of East Martin Luther King Blvd, Seaport District
The male victim, 47, parked his vehicle and left it running while purchasing an item at an area business. The suspect unlocked the victim’s vehicle through an open window and entered, then locked himself inside. The victim noticed the suspect, and returned to his vehicle, where a fight ensued. When officers arrived, the suspect failed to obey their commands and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. ARRESTED: Samuel Ruiz, 24, for attempted carjacking and resisting arrest.

2. Traffic Fatality (2011) Pacific Avenue and Monterey Avenue, Civic District
Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at the listed location. Upon arrival, medical personnel attempted life-saving measures; however, the victim succumbed to his injuries. Traffic personnel responded to assume the investigation.

3. Resisting Arrest (2052) 1200 Block East Martin Luther King Blvd, Park District
The male victim, 27, reported that the suspect brandished a firearm. Responding officers located the suspect inside a vehicle, and he refused to comply with their orders. A Taser was deployed, and the suspect was taken into custody after a brief struggle. ARRESTED: Fidel Garcia, 44, for brandishing, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.

6. Arson (0324) 00 Block of East Market Street, Civic District
An unknown suspect set a trash receptacle located in the area on fire. Stockton Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. SUSPECT: Unknown race female.
