Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Theft from Auto Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspect, who was captured on surveillance video breaking into a victim’s vehicle last month.
The incident occurred after the victim parked her car at approximately 10 p.m. in the 100 block of Emmet Street on September 20, 2022. When she returned the next day at 10 a.m., the victim’s passenger side window was broken and her vehicle had been ransacked. On surveillance video, the suspect was driving the vehicle pictured below when he broke the victim’s passenger window and took several items before leaving the scene. The suspect walks with a limp and the vehicle used has a partial date, believed to be 5-2-2022, written on the front windshield.
