VC23152(F): DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF NARCOTICS
LOCATION: US Hwy 395/ Rancho Road, Adelanto
SUSPECT: Ysidro Pinon, 22 years-old, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 2:03 a.m., Deputy J. Mora observed a vehicle travelling southbound on US Hwy 395, swerve into the center lane.
The driver of the vehicle, Ysidro Pinon, was found to be the sole occupant in the vehicle. Pinon displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. Pinon failed field sobriety tests and would not consent to additional chemical tests. Deputy J. Sandles authored a search warrant compelling Pinon to submit to blood evidence collection.
Pinon was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and narcotics and booked at High Desert Detention Center. Pinon was out of custody at the time of arrest on $250,000.00 bail, in connection to an arrest in 2021 for vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under combined influence of alcohol/drugs causing injury, that occurred in the city of Adelanto.
