Co-Workers' Ongoing Feud Ends in Arrest After Attack with a Knife

SUSPECT(S): Marlon Uy, 57-year-old male, resident of Pomona
VICTIM(S): Confidential, Adult Male
SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 9, 2022, at approximately 3:58 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 99 Ranch Market, at 2959 Chino Avenue, Chino Hills, reference a subject who was assaulted with a knife. Deputies learned the victim and suspect, Marlon Uy, worked at the market and had an on-going feud. After an exchange of words, Uy armed himself with a cleaver and struck the victim multiple times in the upper torso. The victim's co-workers intervened and separated Uy from the victim. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. Uy stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Uy was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for attempted murder.
