MTPD would like to remind residents to lock their vehicles, remove any/all keys and key fobs, and lock residences. 
Due to the current local and national crime trends involving motor vehicle thefts, motor vehicle burglaries, and burglaries to homes, MTPD suggests the following measures:
1- Lock all vehicles and remove any/all keys and key fobs
2- Remove valuables from vehicles when unattended
3- Lock residences, and arm security systems, and leave exterior lights on overnight
4- Activate any exterior security cameras, and make sure they are functioning properly if so equipped
