Message from Superintendent Williams and Chief Winters regarding a reported incident at the Pine Hill Middle School 

The Pine Hill Middle School was placed in a brief lockdown by school administration at approximately 11:00am due to receiving information about a  firearm in a locker. The lockdown protocol was updated to the shelter in place protocol a few moments after the arrival of initial responding officers. The joint response by the officers and school administration quickly deemed the school safe and secure, and the security protocols were lifted. No firearm or other threat was found or substantiated. School operations have returned to normal.
