On October 10, 2022, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Sunnyvale DPS Patrol and Fire personnel responded to the area of Mathilda Ave and Washington Ave on the report of a collision involving a pedestrian and two motor vehicles. The adult male pedestrian was located at the scene with major injuries. Lifesaving measures were initiated but the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The drivers of both vehicles remained on scene and are cooperating with the investigation.
The collision remains under investigation by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT). Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact MAIT Investigator D. Larks at (408)730-7109.
