Campbell Police Arrest Suspect Which Lead Them to a Potential Drug Lab

Campbell Police officers conduct a proactive vehicle stop leading to the arrest of a suspect and the discovery of a potential drug lab in an apartment.

On October 11, 2022, at approximately 2:27 am, Campbell Police officers stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation near Railway and Kennedy Ave. During the stop, items consistent with those used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were located in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested, and officers conducted a further investigation to determine an apartment on the 200 block of Union Ave was associated with the paraphernalia found in the vehicle.

Around 2:00 pm, Campbell Police detectives searched the apartment along with the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team and DEA agents. Additional items pertaining to the manufacturing of methamphetamine were found in the apartment. Out of an abundance of caution, the Santa Clara County Fire Department was present based on the potential exposure to dangerous chemicals.

Chief Gary Berg said, "The combination of proactive police work and a collaborative multi-agency response has made the City of Campbell safer for our community today."

Our Campbell units currently remain on scene to continue this open investigation.
