A grand theft occurred at the Westlake Village Inn on October 1, 2022. From video surveillance, detectives were able to identify the suspect and ascertain that he was on active parole for burglary. Detectives accompanied the suspect’s parole officer during a home check to arrest the suspect for the felony grand theft. During a search of the home for the stolen camera equipment, detectives recovered the described stolen camera equipment. Additionally, 77 knives/spears/axes and 2 replica rifles (BB guns) were located, which are a direct violation of the suspect’s parole conditions.
