INCIDENT: Burglary
LOCATION: 17000 Block of Bear Valley Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Jimmy Mejia, 33-year-old male transient of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to a burglary in progress at the 17000 block of Bear Valley Road in Victorville.
Deputies arrived on scene and found a broken glass window at the front of the business. Upon entry, they located an open back door. At that time, a nearby business on the 12000 block of Hesperia Road called to report a man matching the description of the burglary suspect, jumped the fence into their property. Deputies responded and took the suspect, later identified as Jimmy Mejia, into custody. Mejia was identified as the burglary suspect and subject of disturbance calls earlier in the night. He was booked at High Desert Detention Center for felony burglary.
