The Oakland Police Department (OPD) arrested Tyja Braswell for the fatal shooting of Rodney Davis on March 19, 2022, in the area of 102nd Avenue and International Boulevard.
Due to the hard work and combined efforts of OPD’s Patrol Units and Homicide Investigators, Braswell was safely taken into custody.
Alameda County District Attorney's Office charged Braswell with murder.

Background:
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred on March 19, 2022, just before 8:30 PM, at 102nd Avenue and International Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to the area to investigate a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and adult female, both Oakland residents, with apparent gunshot wound(s). Both victims were transported to a local hospital. The adult male is currently in grave condition and the adult female is in stable condition.
The Oakland Police Department Homicide Division responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation.
On March 20, 2022, at 9:47 AM, the adult male who was in grave condition succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
