Swatting Calls

South Pasadena (Calif.) – The South Pasadena Police Department is aware of “swatting” incidents at neighboring jurisdictions.  At this time, there do not appear to be any credible threats to South Pasadena schools.  Out of an abundance of caution, officers will provide extra patrol to City schools.
Anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious is encouraged to immediately call SPPD dispatch at 626-403-7297.
Swatting is a term used to describe a hoax call made to emergency services, typically reporting an immediate threat, to draw a response from law enforcement.
