* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Johnston County in southeastern Oklahoma... East central Carter County in southern Oklahoma... Southwestern Pontotoc County in east central Oklahoma... Eastern Murray County in southern Oklahoma...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 717 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Springer, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Ardmore, Sulphur, Roff, Springer, Mill Creek, Dougherty, Gene Autry, Hickory, Pontotoc, Lake Of The Arbuckles, Turner Falls, Connerville and Scullin.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CARTER, OK ... JOHNSTON, OK ... MURRAY, OK ... PONTOTOC, OK

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If on or near Lake of the Arbuckles, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
