1. Robbery (2223) Center Street and Fremont Street, Civic District
The male victim, 29, was in the listed area when the suspect hit him with a hard object. The suspect then reached into the victim’s pocket and stole his property. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and he declined medical treatment. SUSPECT: Black male adult
2. Weapons Arrest (0028) San Joaquin Street and Magnolia Street, Civic District
Officers responded to the listed location on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival Officers located the suspect inside his vehicle. Officers searched the suspect and located a loaded firearm in his waistband. ARRESTED: Maurice Howard, 23, for weapon charges.
3. Negligent Discharge of a Firearm (0129) Pacific Avenue and Swain Road, Lakeview District
The suspect fired multiple rounds as he drove by the listed area. Officers located several shell casings at the scene. No one was injured. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
4. Pursuit Arrest (0142) Holman Road and Morada Lane, Valley Oak District
Officers responded to the listed area regarding sideshow activities. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the suspect failed to yield, leading officers on a short pursuit. As he attempted to escape, he struck a patrol unit and the center median. The front passenger attempted to flee on foot and a taser was deployed to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Carlos Juarez, 19, for evading, assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, aiding or abetting in a speed contest, and child endangerment. Joshua Chavarin, 20, for resisting arrest, conspiracy, and aiding or abetting in a speed contest. Briyid Arriaga, 19, Diego Pineda, 20, and a 16- year-old male for aiding or abetting in a speed contest and conspiracy.
