Green Bay Police Investigate Shooting of 5-Year-Old on City’s East Side

The Green Bay Police Department is investigating the shooting of a 5-year-old girl at a residence on the 1600 block of Amy Street, which is located on the City’s east side.

Officers were dispatched to a weapons call on Monday, October 17, 2022, at approximately 4:49 p.m. for a report of a gunshot wound victim in need of medical attention.

The victim was transported to a local hospital. There is no update on the child’s condition at this time.

We are looking to speak with one person of interest regarding this incident, who is believed to be driving a dark green Mercury Milan sedan.

We do not believe that there is any ongoing threat to the community.

This investigation is ongoing, and no additional details will be released at this time.
