The Green Bay Police Department is continuing to ask the public for their help in locating a person of interest believed to be connected to a shooting, which resulted in the death of 5-year-old Skyé Bleu Evans-Cowley, inside a residence on the City’s east side on Monday, October 17, 2022.
We still want to speak with Jordan J. Leavy-Carter, 35 years old, of Green Bay.
On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the Green Bay Police Department received information that the dark green Mercury Milan sedan believed to have been driven by Mr. Leavy-Carter was found in Beloit. The City of Beloit Police Department assisted Green Bay Police in recovering the vehicle, which was brought back to Green Bay on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, to be processed as evidence.
Mr. Leavy-Carter is reported to have been at the residence in the 1600 block of Amy Street on Monday when a gun was discharged. Officers were dispatched to a weapons call at approximately 4:49 p.m. and found a gunshot victim, who was later identified as Skyé Bleu. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
This investigation is ongoing, and no additional details will be released at this time.
