Here's a round-up of what's new and what's happening in Highland Park, NJ.

Halloween Events, 10/24 & 10/30
Please join the Borough for some Halloween adventures. 

  • On Monday, October 24th the annual Trunk or Treat event will take place in the parking lot of the Highland Park Community Center from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  If you wish to decorate a car, please contact Officer O’Mara at [email protected]
  • Also on Monday, October 24th Enter if you dare…..the Haunted House at the Zone 6 Teen Center, 600 Benner Street from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • On Sunday, October 30th show off your creative costume in the parade, get your face painted and more at the Halloween Costume Parade & Festival  at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
National Prescription Drug – Take Back Day, 10/29 & 10/30
Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Ave. between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Flu Clinic, 11/2
Get prepared for flu season by getting your flu shot at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Ave. between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by Unite Pharmacy.  For more information contact (732) 819-0052.

Blood Drive, 11/9

Veterans Day Parade, 11/11
Honor our veterans at the Veterans Day Parade starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Doughboy monument on Raritan Avenue in Highland Park. The parade will proceed down Raritan Avenue into New Brunswick to the Monument on George Street and Livingston Avenue.

Food Pantry Distribution,   10/27, 10/29, 11/10, 11/12, 11/22 & 11/29
The Highland Park food pantry distribution will take place at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue. Visit the Borough website for additional dates. For more information contact Nicole Huff at (732) 819-0052 x3115.
 
Highland Park Recreation Programs
Highland Park Recreation offers a variety of adult and youth fall programs.  Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for a 60% discount on all programs offered by the borough.
 
H.P. Gives a Hoot
Highland Park Gives a Hoot offers free groceries to Highland Park families in need of support.  Distributions are every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Zone 6 Teen Center, 600 Benner Street.
