INCIDENT: PC 664/459 Attempted Burglary
LOCATION: 1100 Block of Marina Drive
SUSPECT(S): Sean Simmons, 27-years-old, Resident of Twentynine Palms
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On October 20, 2022, at approximately 9:00 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River/Needles Police Department received a call regarding a burglary that just occurred in the 1100 block of Marina Drive.
During the investigation, video surveillance from cameras in the area were located and reviewed by deputies. The video showed the suspect attempting to force open windows and sliding doors of the residence. While investigating this incident, another resident in the 900 block of Beach Drive advised deputies that a matching suspect was seen on camera attempting to force entry into their home.
A large area check was conducted, and with the assistance of neighbors in the community, deputies located and arrested Sean Simmons without incident.
Simmons was transported and booked in at the Colorado River Station Jail for PC 664/459 - Attempted Residential Burglary. Simmons remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail of $25,000, awaiting a court hearing.
