2nd Update: Detectives Identify and Arrest a Third Suspect Involved in the Rancho Cucamonga Jewelry Store Robbery

DATE/TIME: Saturday, October 15, 2022 / 2:40 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 211 - Armed Robbery

LOCATION: 10500 Block of Foothill Boulevard, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT(S): Christopher Lamar, 28-years-old, Resident of Ontario
                         Angel Olvera, 23-years-old, Resident of Fontana

VICTIM(S): Gemma's Jewelers

Suspect:  David Goffney, 34-years-old, Resident of Ontario 

Through further investigation, detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga Station identified a third suspect involved in the robbery of Gemma’s Jewelers. The suspect was identified as David Goffney. 

On Friday, October 21, 2022, the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division, along with detectives and deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station’s Multi-Enforcement Team, located Goffney in Riverside. Goffney was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000.

Through investigation, detectives from Rancho Cucamonga identified the suspects as Christopher Lamar and Angel Olvera.

On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division, along with members of the Rancho Cucamonga Station's Multiple Enforcement Team, located Lamar in San Bernardino.  Lamar was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.  

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, Olvera was located in Rancho Cucamonga and taken into custody.  Olvera was also booked at the West Valley Detention Center where they both remain, awaiting a court hearing.

SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 15, 2022, at approximately 2:40 p.m., two armed suspects entered Gemma's Jewelers and committed an armed robbery. During the robbery, an employee was assaulted by one of the suspects, and was later treated and released from a local hospital. The suspects fled the location with several thousand dollars worth of stolen jewelry.
