* WHERE...Paradox Valley/Lower Dolores River and Four Corners/Upper Dolores River.
* WHEN...For the first Freeze Warning, from 2 AM to 10 AM MDT Monday. For the second Freeze Warning, from 2 AM to 10 AM MDT Tuesday. For the Wind Advisory, until noon MDT today.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down. Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
* AFFECTED AREAS: PARADOX VALLEY/LOWER DOLORES RIVER ... FOUR CORNERS/UPPER DOLORES RIVER
Instructions:
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects. People, especially those with respiratory illnesses, heart disease, the elderly, and children are recommended to stay indoors and avoid prolonged outdoor exercise or heavy exertion due to wind-blown dust. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
