SUSPECT(S): Davon Ferguson, 34-year-old resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): 36-year-old Female Resident of Apple Valley
38-year-old Male Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 23, 2022, at approximately 12:02 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to the 16000 block of Chehalis Road in the town of Apple Valley for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Davon Ferguson drove to the victim's residence, kicked the door down, and pushed her. When a bystander tried to help the victim, Ferguson went to his car to retrieve a handgun. Both victims were able to get to safety.
Ferguson fled before deputies arrived but was located a short time later near the intersection of Dale Evans Parkway and Zuni Road. Ferguson failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. The 3.9-mile pursuit reached speeds of 100 MPH through residential areas, where Ferguson failed to stop at posted stop signs and drove into oncoming traffic. The pursuit ended when Ferguson drove to his residence in the 20000 block of Nisqually Road and ran inside before surrendering. A search warrant was served at Ferguson's residence, and during the search, deputies confiscated three loaded handguns and additional ammunition.
Ferguson was transported to the High Desert Detention Center, where he was booked for Felony Evading, Domestic Battery, Felony Vandalism, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Obliteration of Identification Marks (on a handgun). Ferguson is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
