DATE & TIME OCCURRED: October 24, 2022 at 4:40 pm
LOCATION OCCURRED: Quakerbridge Road Overpass at US Route 1 North

DETAILS: On the above date and time a Motor Vehicle Crash was reported to the Communications Center. The Communications Center dispatched patrol and traffic units to the Quakerbridge Road Overpass at US Route 1. Upon arrival Traffic Officer Brown determined that Dr1 had sustained a severe head injury requring the response of Medics and WW Division of Fire & Emergency Services. D2 sustained minor injuries.
The initial investigation revealed the following; V1 lost control exiting off the ramp from US Route 1 North to Quakerbridge Road westbound. V1 traveled over curbed median and struck V2 which was traveling eastbound on Quakerbridge Road on the Quakerbridge Road Overpass for US Route 1. MICU and WW Division of Fire & Emergency Services attended to D1. Subsequently, D1 was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where they were listed in Critical Condition with serious life threatening injuries. D2 declined to be transported to a hospital from the crash scene.

Patrol Units were able to keep vehicular traffic mobile during the time of the investigation. Therefore, no roadways necessitated closure.
