Gas Main Break 
Emergency crews, including CenterPoint Energy, are on scene at a gas main break near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue/South Washington Avenue. Some residents in the area have been evacuated and crews are working to cap the main at this time. This incident poses no threat to South Elementary School and further information will be provided through the City’s social media sites if it becomes available. Residents are asked to stay away from this scene until emergency services has cleared it.
