Theft Prevention Tips for Ranch, Dairy or Farm
The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Rural Crimes Prevention Task Force has five Deputies assigned to the team. In addition to their regular patrol duties, they specialize in interacting with Farmers and Ranchers in the county. Additionally, they are a member of the California Rural Crimes Prevention Taskforce.  Whose mission is to develop solutions to the unique crime problems that afflict citizens in rural areas throughout California. The Task Force is committed to making rural communities' individuals, businesses, and property safer. To accomplish this mission, the Task Force seeks to forge stronger alliances between itself and rural communities, to educate the public concerning the extent and seriousness of the rural crime, and to focus its efforts on the prevention of crime in rural regions of the State, while seeking to improve its overall response. The Rural Crimes Team would like to offer some tips to help prevent thefts from ranches, dairies, and farms.
Please review the tips provided. While they are tailored toward rural industries, many tips are just as valuable to people living in rural areas. Please do not hesitate to contact Sergeant Greaves (209) 754-6500 or Lt. Greg Stark (209) 754-6783 if you have any questions or need the assistance of a Rural Crimes Team Member.
