Recently, car thieves have been making attempts to enter garages, steal garage door openers or enter into breezeways or foyer areas where people typically keep car keys in an effort to steal vehicles.  Do not leave your car keys in your vehicle.  Please LOCK your car doors, garage doors and exterior home doors to prevent car theft.  In addition, contact police IMMEDIATELY upon noticing suspicious activity so that police have ample time to respond to a possible crime in progress instead of taking a report after the fact.
