Unconfirmed threat of a weapon on campus 
The El Cerrito Police Department responded to the El Cerrito High School after school staff received secondhand information of a possible weapon on campus. School officials initiated a lockdown of the campus while officers and staff searched several students, backpacks, lockers, and classrooms. Despite a thorough search of the campus and surrounding grounds, a weapon was not located.
