The Mendham Borough Police Department is now accepting registrants for its Autism / Vulnerable Persons Registry.

The Mendham Borough Police Department is now accepting registrants for its Autism / Vulnerable Persons Registry (AVPR).

The AVPR is a voluntary registry for individuals with Autism (or other developmental disabilities) and/or medical conditions who live, work, or go to school in our community.

The information in the registry includes, but is not limited to, detailed physical descriptions, medical conditions, behavior traits, approach recommendations, and emergency contact information. This vital information will assist officers in communicating with, attending a residence of, or dealing with an emergency involving the registered person.

Participation in this program is easy, entirely voluntary, and the information provided will remain confidential at all times. Program information can be found on the Mendham Borough website under Departments & Services, then click Police, then click Autism / Vulnerable Persons Registry from the dropdown menu.

Please feel free to contact Lt. Joe Pirillo at 973-598-5000 with any questions or send inquiries to the registry’s dedicated email address: [email protected].
