Stolen Vehicle Arrest 
On October 26, 2022, at about 1:30 PM Simi Valley Police Officers responded to a collision investigation at Larch Street and Justin Avenue. When the officers arrived, they saw one of the drivers running from what turned out to be a stolen vehicle (2013 silver Toyota Corolla). He was located hiding in a nearby backyard.
The suspect was identified as 23-year-old, Simi Valley resident Rey Fernando Daniel Alveranga. Mr. Alveranga was arrested and subsequently booked into Ventura County Jail for felony unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle, misdemeanor hit and run and misdemeanor resisting and delaying. No major injuries because of the collision.
