Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifying Home Invasion Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured female suspect in connection with a home invasion that occurred on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Police responded to a residence at Mountainview Avenue near Cedar Avenue on the call of a home invasion. The victim opened her door after she heard knocking and three armed suspects entered the residence with one suspect pistol whipping and punching her until she became unconscious. This incident followed a verbal altercation the victim had with another woman an hour earlier. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment. She is reportedly in stable condition.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured woman, who was with the suspects before they entered the victim’s home. She is described as in her late 20s or early 30s.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
