SUSPECT: Danny Dalton, 25-years-old, Resident of Menifee
SUMMARY:
On Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10:22pm, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of an unwanted subject in the 13200 block of Autumn Leaves Avenue in Spring Valley Lake. According to the caller, Danny Dalton was an ex-boyfriend and not welcome at the residence.
When Deputy J. Guzman arrived, he located Danny Dalton sitting inside a vehicle outside the residence. Dalton said the vehicle belonged to his ex-girlfriend and he was returning it to her. Deputy Guzman drove Dalton from the residence to a public location where he could wait for a ride home.
On Saturday, October 29, 2022, at approximately 1:40am, deputies were called to the same residence when someone broke the windows out of four vehicles on their property and then knocked on their front door. Total damage was estimated at approximately $3,500. Deputies searched the area and did not locate any suspects.
Later in the morning, at approximately 3:48am, deputies returned to the residence when the victim called 911 after hearing the gate to the backyard slam. Deputy J Guzman located Dalton outside the victim’s residence. Dalton had injuries to his hand consistent with breaking the vehicle windows and had personal property in his pockets from inside at least one of the damaged vehicles.
Dalton was arrested for vandalism and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He was later released on bail and is due to appear in court on December 14, 2022, at 8:00am.
