Advisory

Winter Weather Advisory until 04:00AM Wednesday

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations 4 to 8 inches. Visibility reduced to as low as one half mile. Winds gusting 30 to 50 mph, strongest inland and along the Western Capes.

* WHERE...Bristol Bay, north and west of King Salmon.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Tuesday to 4 AM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall will begin on Tuesday near the coast and push northward. The heaviest snowfall and worst conditions in blowing snow are expected from Dillingham north, with 6 to 8 inches in a 12 hour period. Snowfall will come to an end early Wednesday morning. As it begins to taper, there will be some potential for rain to mix with snow near the coast, but this is not expected to limit snow totals significantly.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BRISTOL BAY
