ECPD will Host an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) Camera Meeting on November 9, 2022.
The El Cerrito Police Department (ECPD) is currently evaluating additional tools for solving crimes. Many nearby communities have installed automated license plate reading (ALPR) cameras to help officers make an impact on crimes involving the use of vehicles. On Wednesday, November 9, at 7:00 pm, the ECPD will be hosting a public meeting to discuss how license plate reading cameras might be used in El Cerrito, in the future. The ECPD invites interested community members to come and share their ideas, questions, thoughts, and concerns about police use of license plate reading technology. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Ave., El Cerrito.
