Advisory

Motor Vehicle Theft and Break-Ins

Harper Woods and surrounding communities are experiencing a high volume of vehicle thefts and break-ins. We are currently working with our law enforcement partners to locate and identify the suspects. In the meantime, we are asking that our residents do what they can to help us prevent theft.

Lock your vehicle doors. Do not leave valuables visible from the exterior of the car. If possible, park vehicles in a garage or secure area. Use an anti-theft device like The Club. Motion activated flood lights and exterior cameras that alert the homeowner to suspicious activity.

Kia and Hyundai owners should be especially diligent, as these are the primary targets of car thieves.
