1. Weapons Arrest (1743) 6800 Block of Cumberland Place, Lakeview District
Officers responded to the location on the report of a suspect loading fireworks into a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and the suspect fled. During a search of the vehicle, several firearms were located. The suspect was located and taken into custody. ARRESTED: Stephen Novinger, 37, for weapons charges.
2. Weapons Arrest (2034) Lindsay Street and Wilson Way, Park District
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the listed area. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded handgun. ARRESTED: Hector Navarro-Garcia, 24, for weapons charges.
3. Person Shot (0249) 2900 Block of East Fremont Street, Park District
The male victim, 41, was walking in the area when he was shot. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at an area hospital. There is no suspect information.
