Details: Between October 5, 2022, and November 2, 2022, Bank of the West has reported locating 3 separate skimming devices in their ATM machines. These devices are installed in the ATM with the intent to capture the data on the magnetic strip of the card and the device has a camera that allows the suspect/s to capture the victims PIN as they enter it into the keypad. Numerous victims have made reports to the Corcoran Police Department regarding funds being withdrawn from their accounts without authorization. All of these victims were still in possession of their cards. It is believed there may be additional victims who have had their information illegally obtained through the ATMs at Bank of the West. If you believe you have been a victim, we encourage you to contact the Corcoran Police Department.
