As a public service announcement, the Carlstadt Fire Department, Fire Safety Bureau and Office of Emergency Management would like to remind you to check the batteries in your Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors when you set your clocks back tonight.
Non-working batteries in detectors is a leading contributor to death and injuries in a fire and carbon monoxide leak.
